Sunday, June 11^th, holds wonderful memories for us – beginning of course, with the gorgeous, no-rain-forecasted-for-the-first-time-ever weather!

With a record-number of volunteers (33 in all!) and a terrific field of generous, spirited golfers, which included 8 multigenerational teams, the day got off to a fantastic start.

From there, this great day progressed with:

• Sunny and warm – ok, HOT! – weather (lots of beverages downed!)
• A wonderful bbq at the Snack Shack.
• 50 door prizes back at the Pavillion.
• A record-number of raffle and auction items.
• 70 guests who came just for our dinner event.
• A delicious dinner.
• The gorgeous dancing of Fredrik and Amanda, which paid homage in memoriam to our dear honorees, Paul Drury and Jack Huber.
• Fox61 Sports Director, Rich Coppola featuring us on his Sunday night, ‘Sports Desk’.
• Fox61 reporter, Jimmy Altman, (winner of two 50/50 raffles, donating both back to the tournament!) doing a really terrific job emceeing our live auction.

Participation in this year’s RCG Golf Classic means that a young man’s dream of inspiring others continues to become realized. It means that his dream continues to live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved him and those who never even knew him.   It means that through the generosity of so many, Ryan’s charities will continue to receive much needed and appreciated financial support.

Ryan would be thrilled with this year’s event and results; friends and family playing together, fundraising for the causes that meant so much to him and knowing that his life and his final act of giving have touched the hearts of so many.

As for us, Ryan’s parents, we continue to feel blessed by the love and support of all who participated, as we strive to preserve Ryan’s memory and legacy.
