We don’t think we could have scripted a more perfect day for the final Ryan’s Circle of Giving Golf Classic.  Sunday, June 9^th, holds wonderful memories for us – and we hope, for all who attended.

With an amazing team of volunteers (27 in all!) and a terrific field of 87 spirited golfers, which included 9 multigenerational teams, the day got off to a fantastic start.

From there, this great day progressed with:

• Perfect golf weather!
• 18 golfers who were also sponsors
• 27 sponsors of our special golf balls with Rich’s picture on them
• 10 members of the RCG Inner Circle Networking Group who sponsored our golfer gift bags
• A CT 1st Tee player, Ben Poulios and his dad, Ben, who were sponsored by FOX61
• A great bbq at the Snack Shack
• 44 who came for our dinner event
• 84 businesses and individuals who provided items for our raffle/auction
• Our wonderful Sponsors (47 of them!)
• Over 255 people/businesses who participated in the tournament
• The opportunity to recognize our sponsors and volunteers at dinner
• The opportunity to thank Rich Coppola (and his wife, Sue!), for his amazing support of Ryan and this tournament for the past 14 years; Rich’s family, friends and colleagues were with us as we payed honor to this wonderful man.

Participation in this year’s RCG Golf Classic means that a young man’s dream of inspiring others continues to become realized. It means that his dream continues to live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved him and those who never even knew him.   It means that, through the generosity of so many, Ryan’s charities will continue to receive much needed and appreciated financial support.

Ryan would be thrilled with this year’s event and results; friends and family playing together, fundraising for the causes that meant so much to him and knowing that his life and his final act of giving have touched the hearts of so many so many.  He would be especially thrilled to know that his dear friend, Rich, was so honored.

As for us, Ryan’s parents, we continue to feel blessed by the love and support of all who participate as we strive to preserve Ryan’s memory and legacy.

Though our last tournament, we are not yet ready to give up our fundraising shoes.  Next year, we will be hosting a Comedy Night on Ryan’s birthday, April 4, 2020.
